The Surf Coast Shire Council has kickstarted the trail by funding construction of a safe pathway​

Council has allocated $796k to upgrade, design and construct a sealed pathway from Bellbrae Reserve to Duffields Road. You should start to see changes by mid 2024. ​

The Surf Coast Shire Council will​

1. Upgrade the quality of the asphalt path between Bellbrae and Christian College (surface, width, drainage)​

2. Construct a new concrete pathway between Christian College and Duffields Road​

3. Extend the pathway to the Bellbrae and Bells Beach bus stops​

4. Install directional signage, road safety signage and traffic bollards​
